Hey Joe, let me whittle down your speech,
Joe, “ The Bill is Unconstitutional.Congress has no power to set foreign policy.”
There, simple isn`t it.

The last of the old Democrats speak. You know, the kind of Democrats who love their country. The kind of Democrat who I will refer to with a capital "D". All those other idiots I refer to as 'dims' or various other derogatory terms. You still have personal honor Senator Lieberman and I salute a worthy opponent in the political arena.

But none of this gives us an excuse to paper over hard truths. We delude, ourselves if we think we can wave a legislative wand and suddenly our troops in the field will be able to distinguish between Al Qaeda terrorism and sectarian violence, or that Iraqis will suddenly settle their political differences because our troops are leaving, or that sweet reason alone will suddenly convince Iran and Syria to stop destabilizing Iraq. Democrats embrace delusion.
Nancy, Joe's comment about Syria and Iran was directed at your bumbling delusions.

No self respecting human being, man, or Senator would be in a party that sympathizes with the enemy.

Senator Lieberman,
Very nice speech but you must realize that as long as Senator Reid is in control of the Senate, this assault on a war that can and will be won will only continue. Consequently, while the words you say sure sound good, they will do nothing material in the just cause you recognize. As such, please search your soul and consider really making a difference in the most momentous matter facing our country since World War II. Please...

Brilliant analysis in what I’m sure was a heart-felt speech on his part to the Senate. My fear is that he is merely spitting into the wind as to the response he will get from the defeatists though. We simply CANNOT turn our backs on another culture like we did in SouthEastAsia 30 years ago. Can’t the Democrooks see that our national integrity is at stake here?

I almost feel bad for voting against him while I lived in CT. Nowadays, he’s showing a lot of backbone.

What does it say about the GOP, and even the Bush admin istration, that the clearest, most articulate advocate of the administration’s efforts in Iraq, the strongest supporter of Gen Petreus, in NOT a Republican..

It's time to switch parties, Joe. In many ways, you're more conservative than Rudy, and he's a republican.
Come on over to the good side, Joe.
