Bird Feeder Analogy (email) good read
email

Posted on 04/26/2007 5:25:44 PM PDT by Kimmers

I bought a bird feeder. I hung it on my back porch and filled it with seed. Within a week we had hundreds of birds taking advantage of the continuous flow of free and easily accessible food. But then the birds started building nests in the boards of the patio, above the table, and next to the barbecue. Then came the poop. It was everywhere: on the patio tile, the chairs, and the table...everywhere. Then some of the birds turned mean: They would dive bomb me and try to peck me even though I had fed them out of my own pocket. And others birds were boisterous and loud: They sat on the feeder and squawked and screamed at all hours of the day and night and demanded that I fill it when it got low on food. After a while, I couldn't even sit on my own back porch anymore. I took down the bird feeder and in three days the birds were gone. I cleaned up their mess and took down the many nests they had built all over the patio. Soon, the back yard was like it used to be...quite, serene and no one demanding their rights to a free meal.

Now lets see...our government gives out free food, subsidized housing, free medical care, free education and allows anyone born here to be a automatic citizen. Then the illegals came by the tens of thousands. Suddenly our taxes went up to pay for free services; small apartments are housing 5 families: you have to wait 6 hours to be seen by an emergency room doctor: your child's 2nd grade class is behind other schools because over half the class doesn't speak English: Corn Flakes now come in a bilingual box; I have to press "one" to hear my bank talk to me in English, and people waving flags other than "Old Glory" are squawking and screaming in the streets, demanding more rights and free liberties. Maybe it's time for the government to take down the bird feeder.

Is there a primer for eating cornflakes in Russian? How about latin, French? I wouldn’t want to do it wrong, people may laugh.

The scary thing is, we’d still have most of these problems without the illegal aliens.

Speaking of bird feeders and shooting; I've been shooting at squirrels today that seem to think a "bird" feeder is their own personal diner.

I know exactly what you're talking about: my theory is that your area has had a mini hurricane, resulting in the destruction of nests of fat, seed-dependent, worm-eschewing birds unwilling to fly away.

The nests need costly reconstruction, and squirrels have proven to be the cheapest source nest reconstruction labor. The squirrels are richly resented by birds, half of whom are incarcerated and now have declining numbers.

That’s the funniest thing I have seen in quite some time.

Dingy Harry Reid excluded.

There was a great analogy I once read about how some guy finally caught the wild hogs in the swamp by feeding them, building a fence one section at a time, feeding them daily and soon they were all coming.

They brought their “families”, kids, kin, etc and when the pen was completed he just shut the gate one day after they had all entered the enclosure to eat.

They had become so dependent on the daily feedings.

The Word of my God includes the writing of his apostle Paul. Paul told a group of Christians, “If you don’t work you won’t eat.”

Paul also said you can recognize God’s people by their “fruits.” By “fruits,” I believe the apostle meant “deeds.” The illegals (and even the legals) who demand our nation cater to their every whim are like the people who behaved savagely at the Lords Supper (in the early days of the Church). Paul chastised them, calling them selfish gluttons.

The United States is a great and generous nation. We are called greedy by countries that barely give a percentage of what we give. The people you speak of don’t want to be a part of what we are. They want to hijack it. In the process they will destroy it.

Jesus chastised bad behavior. We are not acting in accordance to his will by excusing and encouraging it.

If a “bird” comes to my front door and asks for help I will share with them what God has blessed me with as my house can afford. If the “bird” comes through the window to steal, rape or murder that “bird” will be sent before the Master’s throne abruptly.

Interesting analogy, but he could then eat the wild hogs. We can’t eat the illegals, so what do we do after we catch them?

Now, if you could only find a couple of day laborers to help with the mess in your yard.
