Most famous “potted plant” incident award goes to Brendan Sullivan who represented Ollie North during the Iran-Contra hearings.

FREE THE POTTED PLANT!!!

Humor aside, I think this is a scary situation. A news organization decides to toss a candidate out of contention because they are uncomfortable with him. If they can do it to Gravel, they can do it to conservative candidates in the future. Of course, they already try to undermine conservative candidates by other means.

“He’s a moonbat”

Now THAT’S an understatement. LOL. I lived in Alaska from 74 to 04. He was in politics in Alaska and D.C from 63 to 81. I was young and generally uninterested in politics, however, I do seem to recall a idea he had to spend pipeline money covering Anchorage with a dome. I wish I could find a record of this as I am sure it is not my imagination or aging memory. He was considered a moonbat even by Alaska standards, which are pretty tolerant of somewhat nutty behavior. You have to be WAY out there to have Alaskans say “Hey, wait a minute...”. While I am generally in favor of anyone running for office, when it comes to debates someone polling 1 or two percent is just taking up valuable time & space. And crazy Mike certainly falls into that area.
