True, his speech still applies today. That’s what I’d like my political party to get back in touch wth.

My grandfather was a delegate to that GOP convention, albeit the “wrong kind”. Ronald Reagan gave the keynote speech to the ‘64 GOP convention, one of his best of all.

That is what ALL OF WASHINGTON needs to get back to..working for the principles that this country was not only founded on, but is the vangaurd for the world on....but we know what much of Washington has morphed into — greedy, power-mad socialist more interested in POWER AND FREEDOM-ROBBING from the people, the destruction of our soverignty, and converting American citizenship in a laughable party joke...all with impunity.

Washington is very bent and broken — it needs to be fixed.

It was a better place when at least a few politicians had core convictions without having to worry about what the Press says about them, or what some poll says.

This party has strayed from the libertarian ideal of Goldwater more than I care to think about. To its detriment.
