Bull. Fred would clean al-Gorzeera’s clock. Just imagine the two in a debate setting...
Fred: “If human activity is causing global warming, then why is Mars and even Pluto warming up?”
Al: “Er... uh.... b-but, but but um...”

I had a friend at work who said "a hit bird always flutters" I'm thinking it applies in this matter.

Yes, he is personally opposed. Fred always lets his Frederalist philosophy trump his personal feelings.

Agreed. To date my hopes have been with Rudy, but Thompson would be “the candidate” for me. If he doesn’t get the nomination, I’m sure Dick Wolf and NBC would be more than happy to let him come back to playing D.A. Arthur Branch.. But America needs another actor to play the President, and after twenty-eight years, its high time...

He’s doing today exactly what Reagan did before, except he was a Senator rather than a gov., and he does have a forceful commonsense image on L&O, but in our cable/satelite multitude of hundreds of channels, not quite the exposure Reagan had on the General Electric Theater.... Nonetheless, he’s following the same path.... I said back in 96 that Thompson may do something in the next decade, everyone laughed at me...

Micheal Devers?
Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't this the dork that failed so badly he tried to commiy suicide, which, of course, he failed at too?

You’re wrong, and I’m correcting you. We’re talking about Michael Deaver, President Reagan’s former Deputy Chief of Staff.
You’re talking about Michael Devers, someone else entirely.
Nice try, though...

One might argue exactly the opposite here on FR re RUDY, that he is making such inroads of support, that elements here are frantic.
Let's see what happens when or if Fred comes into the race. If he does, he's my man. If he doesn't, I'll vote for Hunter in the primary but make no mistake: WHEN Rudy wins the nomination (barring Fred coming in), I'll support him as best I can because I will not submit to a Hillobama administration.

FYI, Rudy was pretty on message this week: the Dems are the problem. The Dems are the problem. Of course he is -- his only chance is to convince the GOP base that they need him to beat the evil Democrats. If he runs on his positions and record, he loses.

Be that as it may, if he is the ONLY one doing it, he’s head and shoulders above anyone else.

The Train has already pulled away and Fred missed it! If he were a serious candidate, he would be out there campaigning. Oh, I forgot, he hates to campaign. Well, sorry. We do not just hand the nomination to candidates, they have to work for it! I wont be voting for Fred. Fred IS campaigning. You just haven't been paying attention. And he hates "traditional" methods of campaigning. How does a non-candidate get invited to speak at the largest and most active political club in the United States. ..."one that other Republican candidates had tried to secure."
He's doing things differently, his own way. That's one of the things I like about him. Regan probably would have liked his style too.

Just noticed your tagline. If there was space, I thought this would be a good one too:
you don't tug on Superman's cape
you spit into the wind
you don't pull the mask off the ol Lone Ranger
and you don't mess around with Jim

Can you see Fred debating Hillary?? ROFLMAO...
That would be like taking a squirt gun to a gun fight.
Or on Hillary's case; she be totally unarmed.
