Until recently in the South this was done most often so that the child could play sports at the “powerhouse” high school or for a coach with a reputation for grooming future college scholarship recipients.

I’m with you. I live in a mid-size town in New Jersey and we probably have over a thousand Mexican or “hispanic-other” students in the local school system. In New Jersey!

The solution to identifying them is simple. Close the border for a few days and check school attendance.

Those absent are expelled.
