STILL not done! Unfriggin’ believable! And the Cal-trans chief in charge of the project was quoted in the local paper a few months ago saying (paraphrasing) “No one expects these things to get done on time, under budget. Something always comes up, it’s expected!”
Can’t imagine telling my bank bosses and clients the same thing and keeping a job for two seconds!
Four years and still not done, no end in sight even, though the main work on the northbound Oxnard blvd onramp to the 101 North has been done for a year and a half! The same guy said the engineers goofed when they designed it (was supposed to be open in late 2005), and the curve was deemed too sharp to open the road until the entire freeway job was complete (supposed to have been complete early 2006!!!)
Cal Trans bastards, I hate ‘em!
