But, as noted up thread -— she’s not model quality. Pretty in a common corn-fed way? Yeah. Great Junior League president material and/or doctor’s trophy wife. But hardly Vogue material.

Beauty contestant winners don’t generally model. They go on to careers in public relations, or broadcasting, or philanthropy, etc. The contacts Miss America makes during her “reign” are what make these opportunities possible. Not being able to go to New York is going to put a serious crimp in her credibility and possibly her future career prospects.

Frankly, if she refuses to testify, she isn’t much of a role model anymore. If she knew she wasn’t going to be able to testify, she shouldn’t have become involved in the first place. She is an idiot.
