It’s high time the FDA took action. I’ve been monitoring this for weeks on itchmo.com and Petconnection.com. They’ve been up to the minute on this scandal, and the media have remained largely silent as the FDA dithered. It’s huge.

It’s time to boycott China. This is terrorism.

The best advice I have to offer on whether or not to eat at a certain establishment is to look for the smell of ass in the foyer. If you detect its presence, then find another restaurant.

We used to go to a Chinese restaurant often while I was still living in Jax, FL. From one day to the next they went from a booming business to shut down, it was very puzzling. The reason finally hit the papers. The restaurant was directly across the street from a retirement home. The home had a rather large pond in front filled with those butt ugly calico looking ducks. You can all probably see where this is going. Under the cover of darkness they used to go across the street and snatch the ducks. One night a resident of the home apparently caught them doing it and called the police. The Health Department apparently did their own investigation and shut the place down. It never did reopen, at least not while I was living there.

Good thing there were not a lot of stray dogs or cats running around!

I think the Chinese suspended American beef sales over one case of Mad Cow.

Big surprise, probing our navy for weaknesses, stealing our patents and flooding the market with cheap knock offs, downing our spy planes and stealing the tech, supporting islamofascists via intermediaries with weapons, continual cyber attacks against our IS infrastructure and now poisoning our food - another probe into how they can hurt us when they feel ready to take us on.
The tapeworms in DC are less than worthless idiots, they will not protect us if it costs thier donors business and frankly, they couldn’t at this point even if they decided the cash for re-election and a seat of power wasn’t worth looking the other way when it comes to our newest most favored trade partner’s shenanigans.

One of the importers, Wilbur-Ellis, is based in San Francisco. Somehow I don’t think Nancy “Tunagate” Pelosi’s going to be demanding hearings any time soon...

Just how can we tell if we are buying food from China? Do we import fruit, vegetables and meat from there?

it may not be highly toxic, which has inspectors wondering if a second substance might also be responsible for contaminating food.

In my best Miracle Max voice from "The Princess Bride", "It just so happens that your food here is only MOSTLY toxic. There's a big difference between mostly toxic and highly toxic. Mostly toxic is slightly safe."

Check out the garlic in your local grocery store, most of it now comes from China.

If the label doesn’t say “Hecho en Mexico” then you can be 85% sure it was manufactured/processed in China.
