I was the one that elected to use the descriptive term "tossed" without really having given it much thought........it was the first word that came to mind.

I suppose I could have used.........

• thrown
• heaved
• chucked
• launched

  Would my use of a different term really have made a difference in what I was ultimately attempting to convey?
