Exactly what would have to happen in the field of illegal immigration before folks should restart sending money to the RNC?

Would a 15% increase in deportations suffice? 50%? 75%? 100%? 300%? Or would 3% be enough?

The problem with hardlines on donating money is you paint yourself into a quantitative corner. Money is about numbers. Maybe you send 10% more than in the past if there is a 10% increase in deportations. Or if you are from DU, you demand that every single illegal be deported before you send a single dollar to the RNC. At maximum efficiency this would require 20 years at least, and within 2 years the Democrats will have total control of the government and shut down all deportations.

Everyone needs to think carefully about their sufficiency criterion for sending money. If it’s too high, the goal will never be achieved. In fact, if it’s too high, all illegals will become legal American citizens within about 19 months when Dems take total control.

I will send them money when they support the causes I am interested in. Right now they are doing nothing. If the presidential candidate is one I can honestly support I will send money...if they develop a backbone about illegal aliens invading our country I will send money......if they continue to disappoint me I will send nothing.

When the RNC stops supporting comprehensive immigration reform and a guest worker program. The WH and RNC are fighting their own party on the issue of illegal aliens. The Secretary for Homeland Security, Chertoff, refers to illegal aliens, in testimony before Congress, as undocumented workers. Mel Martinez, one of the sponsors of the Senate bill on immigration reform that was voted AGAINST by Senate Reps 32-23 and FOR by Senate Dems, 38-4, was named RNC Chairman. Is this Bush's way of poking us with a sharp stick and saying up yours?

The WH pulled the rug out from the House Reps on their enforcement bill, calling them nativists to boot. This bill received overwhelming Rep support,203-17 with the Dems voting agianst it 164-36. Sensenbrenner: Bush Turned Back on Bill

So why is the WH and RNC so adamant and vocal about this issue. It is divisive within the GOP. Why push something that most of your own party doesn't support. Loyalty begets loyalty.

I have been receiving calls and letters about my donation. I have told the people on the other end why I am not going to send any more money to the RNC. Curioiusly, the people on the other end say that they support my position and that they have been telling their supervisors about how much of a problem this is. They say they are ignored. I guess corporate donations are more important than individual donors.

This issue transcends partisan politics. It is a matter of principle and national survival. If the RNC and the WH are on the other side of the fence with the Dems, so be it. I will support and contribute to individual Rep candidates who are strong on this issue.
