PBS TV just ran a two part show on the Mormons. I saw part one and taped part two for later viewing. The early years under Smith and Young had some fringe beliefs and doings, but it seems that the church has moved towards mainstream Christian beliefs in the twentieth century and now.

Mormons as a group are good people and value family, honesty, self-sufficiency and good works. They pay their taxes and follow the civil laws, so the details of their religion shouldn’t be a bar to running for office.

Interesting how “God” said no to black people becoming Mormon. Then He said yes. He said polygamy was good, then He changed his mind.

This “God” doesn’t know what he wants His Mormons to believe...

How many other doctrines and dogmas have been changed in the Mormon church?
