The mother might not have been able to make milk. My sister was a vegetarian until she got pregnant; so was my wife. Both of ‘em changed their diets drastically during and after pregnacy in order to be able to nurse.

Yet another sign that the vegan diet is not natural or healthy! if a new mother cant make milk because of it there has to be some red flags!

There is soy formula! yes its not a mashed bean but there are, to the best of my knowledge, no animal proteins in it.

If the mother was unable to produce enough milk, they could easily have used a soy-based formula. This one is widely available, nutritionally complete and free of animal products.

This couple sounds like a couple of wacko vegans.
