There's something about this that doesn't quite make sense. Soy formula is not bad for a baby that small - many babies that can't tolerate lactose are put on soy formula and do just fine - in fact, they do better than they did on the cow's milk-based formula.

The article says "soy milk" not "soy formula". Two different things.

My almond milk carton (I love the stuff) distinctly reads: "Not to be used as an infant formula."

Also my rice milk carton. Since I'm allergic to soy, I don't buy the drink, but I wouldn't be surprised if it had the same message printed somewhere.
