Will Obama Lead the Anti-war Left?
Dick Morris & Eileen McGann
Wednesday, May 2, 2007
Soon it will be time for Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., to face a moment of truth and decide whether he is going to lead the anti-war movement or cave in under administration pressure.
As House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., move toward an accommodation with the White House over funding for the war in Iraq, they are also moving toward a civil war within their own party. If Pelosi and Reid agree to give Bush a new bill providing funding for the war without a deadline for troop withdrawal, they will redeem their party's image nationally and show their support for the troops, but they will alienate their left wing.

Other then Lieberman, is there a Pro-War left?
Heussein couldn’t lead a group of beer drinkers to the loo.
Will the anti-war left eat Obama?
Toe-sucker Speaks...
Obama is Hillary’s ace in the hole! At the right time, he will throw his support (hugely Black support) to her. And, in return, she will name him her Vice Presidential candidate. Is that not likely to happen? Or am I just having a political nightmare? :)
bet on it.
If you don’t like the name “Obama,” let’s call him B. Hussein. B. Hussein isn’t ready to decide whether to lead the anti-war left; he’s still trying to decide if he’s the “clean, articulate, black” as Biden described him and as he sounds in front of a predominantly white audience, or if he’s a Je$$e Jack$on wanna-be, which is how he sounds when he speaks before a black audience. So he’s still working on that schtick and really not ready for anything bigger like what to do with the anti-war loonie losers in his party.
LOL!
I chose that name in honor of Al Capp’s character in the Li’l Abner comic stip. I thought it was sure appropriate considering what we have for representatives (gag) in the Congress.
Actually the correct name is Senator Jack S Phogbound. I discovered the correct spelling years later and decided to keep what I have.
Sen Jack
That’s what Barack wants to happen. He’s young enough to serve as VP for 8 years and then President for 8 more. But hillary doesn’t need him for Black support. She’s got it.
