So Funny Scam
Email | May 2 2007 | Denise Green Secretary to William Grant Of Costa Coffee

Posted on 05/02/2007 9:45:38 PM PDT by Maelstorm

This scam was particularly funny. I'm sorry I delete the original email but the gist of the whole thing  is a person claiming to be "Denise Green Secretary to William Grant Of Costa Coffee " sent me an email from a yahoo account denise.arttss@yahoo.com . (It does work but it will be gone as soon as I report it to yahoo) well this individual claimed that they had funds that they needed to process for some reason and that they'd send money orders. (The classic money order scam) This person then asked for my information so I provide some information with an address to a law enforcement office.

I figured it would be amusing. Well today I got a notification that I should've already received the money orders. lol

Here is the email below. Well I didn't check my email till late. So they must've gotten alarmed and of course a good con artist knows like a good salesman that you don't want your mark thinking about what they are doing. You want them to just do it fast. So I received another email to encourage me with is the second one below. This person must have been not too bright because they linked the images from www.abovetopsecret.com and an ebay auction. It was a good laugh. Just thought I'd share.

That is about the worst one I’ve ever seen, in terms of being comprehensible, much less believable.

Even the mugus would call this guy a mugu.

I thinking maybe we rush to judgement these peoples before having they comply with requested monies transferred to accounts of which paid they might be so contacting they reference of these monies good idea is for FBI in charge to taking action.

Tough guy! Sounds like a poster who flamed me recently. (Appropriately too, as per normal).

It was particularly bad. Probably a Nigerian. A lot of dating sites are flush with fakes trying to scam people. A friend of mine gave his information and the person sent remarked money orders. What they want you to do is deposit them into your bank account and then wire them a portion of the money. Once you do that when the money orders finally clear the 100 money order is found to be maybe 1.00 and you are left holding the bag. I had a Nigerian try to scam me once, I had them pegged from the beginning. I got a Russian scammer to give me their real address. I enjoy playing with them. :-)

I never even noticed that but that is even more funny. Nearly all the Nigerian scams are Nigerian men though they pretend to be poor white girls trapped in Nigeria about to be forced to prostitute themselves after their mother died. Many of the Russian scams are a combination men working with young women.
They will actually call and talk to you from Russia with a phone card. lol Poor bud of mine thought he was in love for a bit. I convinced him otherwise. Later he found a nice Chinese girl who turned out to be for real.

Hey that is an excellent idea! Go ahead and send them an email with a Name address age and phone number. The person will get several money orders. lol The gig is up. I’m sure the person will know by now they are wasting their time. I also sent an email to yahoo security so they’d kill the account.

Yes, Scamese, along with German, french(frogtalk), Spanglish and a smattering of Japanese, Cantonese, two forms of pidgeon English and three forms of Ebonics.

My wife says that I’m very clever too.

Guess that makes me a cunning linguist.

I had a friend that recieved a 4M check drawn in her ex’husband’s name purportedly “Swiss Lottery ‘Winnings”. Like all ex-wives, she wouldn’t let that sorry so and so get any of that money.(Hell hath no fury) She showed the check to me and I said scam, since I haven’t believed in Santa since I was 5. This Check was drawn on a Buffalo NY bank and Postmarked Canada. The gimmick, I suppose, was the endorsement line was on the center of the back of the check. If endorsed there, your bank would refuse to process the check and you would have to send a deposit to recut the check. Since I know where the endorsement goes, the check was processed normally and of course bounced.
