“Thanks for this post. Now I finally see what everyone is so excited about with Fred. He is, indeed, the total package.”
Yep, he is. Each time I hear him speak
or read one of his essays, I am more strongly convinced that he is “the man for the times” and our best shot at returning to conservative core principles....not only because he believes in them but just as importantly he can aticulate them clearly and forcefully.
Is Fred perfect? Nope. But he’s clearly head and shoulders(literally)above any of the other Republicans who have a realistic shot at the nomination.
Fred oozes authenticity. None of the other “Big Three”(LOL) comes close. Authenticity is appealing. Slick hucksterism(Romney)is not.
Thank God he is coming out. I was getting pretty depressed with my GOP choices. I hope he comes up clean, I think he’s the one.
One bellweather you can check is his voting record in the Senate. Except for his support for CFR - which he now says he regrets, he has a very strong conservative record.
While it’s true that congress people will vote to support other members in most prelimintary votes, when push comes to shove and their vote goes on the record, most people will vote what they really believe.
If you check out Hillary, you’ll see what I mean. She can call herself “centrist” all she wants, but her voting record says she is a serious liberal.
