The "gender effect" can cut both ways. When women perceive a threat to their safety (or that of their families), they will gravitate to a candidate who seems a protector. The streets of France are not safe when hoodlums are running amok. I'm sure that a lot of women voted for Sarko because they want law and order re-established.

Naturally the female governor of the state is proposing tax increases on everything from haircuts to bottled water in offices to the fish you catch.

This should be a lesson to everyone in America that when you vote for a liberal female - you’re voting for a communist first, and a female second. There’s a second lesson in here somewhere that states: a left wing female will steal your liberty and your money for her security.
