Rutland Democrats Want New Voting Places (Vermont)

Rutland Democrats Want New Voting Places Rutland Democrats don't want to have to go to church to vote.

For years, residents in some parts of the city have been voting at the Christ the King School and the Calgary Bible Church. But, some members of Rutland's Democratic Party object to having polling places in religious institutions.

The issue has come up in other parts of the country. Vermont election officials say the prevailing opinion in most court cases is that churches should be used as a last resort.

Rutland Democrats also are concerned about a lack of handicapped parking and the safety of students at the Christ the King location. The party plans to ask city officials to find new voting sites.

What is it? That they don’t want to on principle, or that they can’t because it’ll burn their skin if they touch anything?

This is a good example of how much the Democrats hate Christians. If they can avoid it they won’t even enter a building housing a Christian Church.

No question but we’ll soon see this covered on the MSM.

Not.

Yes, from the strange....to the stranger....personalized and customized polling places, now? Always a reason to be a cop-out.

I think all democrats should follow the lead of VT dems, lately...Dean: don’t talk or listen to the media...TV in VT: subscribers get Al Jazeera in many areas but in some areas FOX and CSpan is snowy or scrambled....and This: The building/structure bothers you- don’t vote!! Great strategy!!

LOL... NH is fast becoming one of those lawmakers-holding-everyones-hand/a “Nanny state” too but still not as bad as Vermont. I lived in VT for a couple of years and could not understand paying state sales and income tax for bad roads and bridges especially since there are no real jobs in VT so many have to commute to work out of state anyways...so i moved back to NH.
