PARIS, May 6 — Arrogant, brutal, an authoritarian demagogue, a “perfect Iago”; the president-elect of France has been called a lot of unpleasant things in recent months and now has five years to prove his critics wrong.

Aw, the NYT is just upset because their flaming socialist lost. Let’s hope they see it as a sign of the future for socialism and communism...while I know I will never live long enough to see it, the world needs a cure for cancer and a cure for liberalism and socialism. Two major diseases that mankind needs to rid itself of.
Nice juxtaposition. The equivalent of a TV reporter asking an interviewee, “Some people accuse you of being congenitally evil. What was it that turned you into a right-wing monster?”
Sickening. The guy’s not even really that right wing. It’s not like he’ll push for a 2nd amendment there or anything. Mostly he just wants to have a capitalist system and enforce immigration laws.
I guess those are absolute evils to the NYT.

It’s a truly amazing phenomenon to watch The New York Times at work.
The Grey Lady will sink to any depths to champion socialism, and it’s many voices, both here and abroad.
Sarkozy has won? Wonderful! I guess the French have seen the muslim handwriting on the wall. And, now, at last, I can end my boycott of French wines! And, again, resume enjoying a decent bottle of St. Emillion!
I’ll bet Hillary’s a** just tightened up. She is probably screaming and throwing a fit right now:)
The only question is how many days before the election this was written.

When it comes to policy, Sarkozy is similar to Guiliani. He’s certainly not “conservative” in the American sense of the word.

Amazingly enough, today I have more respect for the French populace that I do the NYT.
