Obama is not going to be on the ticket. Dems don't need / don't like blacks. They already get 95% + of the black vote while ignoring them as candidates. Obama on the ticket would overshadow the beast.
The dem #2 will be Richardson. He's hispanic and that is the future of the dem party.

I think they'll get scared of the polls that show that left rhetoric is extrememly troubling for the undecideds, so they'll get a solid traditional candidate to off-set a lot of the concerns: Evan Bayh of Indiana. A number of Hoosier FReepers here would even vote for him. If a GOP-haven like Indiana goes for the Dems, they've got the election sewn up.
