CBS13 Sacramento, CA is trying to claim Rush Limbaugh's parity of the LA Times "Magic Negro" comment is racist. Go there and free them poll. It's on the right hand sidebar. It asks:
Is Rush Limbaugh's "Barack The Magic Negro" song racist?
You can also watch their story on this at their website. It's at the top of the page.
4% yes, 96% no
Ouch. I’m guessing those aren’t the results they had in mind. :-)
When I heard this on my way to the Talladega Winston Cup Race 2 weeks ago I knew this was going to happen.
I’m surprised it took so long!!
Crotical that everyone knows he’s NOT a negro!
Rush just announced CBS13 put a video to the parody that makes it look like it was produced by Rush. Rush has just warned them to take it down as he did not and does not produce videos.
I don’t think so, but as long as the professional race pimps think it is, I’m satisfied.
I bet right now cbs is sorry they even went there. Poll not looking good for them and neither are the comments.
They haven’t even posted my comment yet. It had a link to the LA times article.
HEADS UP! According to Rush, as of 1PM (CST), CBS 13 in Sacramento has posted a BOGUS VIDEO that is racially explosive and claiming it’s a Limbaugh production. Rush just stated that he NEVER USES VIDEO in his parodies. Freepers, Limbaugh is under attack.
It’s only as racist as the whole Barack candidacy itself, considering the only reason anyone is even looking at that empty suit is because there’s a black face (well, half-black) on top of it. Otherwise he’d have the same gravitas as, say, Kucinich.
97 to 3 now.
I wouldn’t have looked at the comments if you hadn’t mentioned them! I’m glad you did — and I did! LOL!
I think they pulled the video. I went to check it out and it looks to be gone.
I take that back...there it is.
Heard this. This will be interesting to watch.
Rush ought to sue CBS 13. He’ll own the station for what they did.
I watched the video and the source URL is obscured from the supposed video. Betcha the URL has nothing to do with rushlimbaugh.com
They )CBS 13) probably didn’t put the video up. DU drooler DNA is all over this plot. Or Obama operatives wanted some attention.
He's ALWAYS been under attack.
He never bothers to swing back.
THIS time he is, and I'm glad I'm not on the receiving end.
The Godfather says this is all over the ‘net.
Of course it’s not racist. Negros make perfectly good magicians.
I can’t imagine why Rush wants the video pulled. It’s hilarous.
Great. Bet they pulled the video after Rush called them on it. What's the link to CBS 13? Rush also mentioned something about the video being posted on You Tube. Has anyone seen it there? If so, what's the You Tube link?
3%? Heh, that’s probably within the margin of error of DUers browsing this site ;)
Do you think that Rush might possibly want the video pulled BECAUSE HE HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH IT?
2:23 PM... 97-3
They probably thought that they were going to bring down Rush when they found this video that he had nothing to do with.
He’s has been taunting them since the Imus affair.
Pulled the video...sorta like running and hiding? LOL
I voted no.
BTW the illicit video they were showing purports itself to have come from http://www.politicalpartypoop.com/
However there is no sign of it there.
This is the video URL at YouTube
Thank you. I’ve voted.
One more try. Do you think that Rush might possibly want the video pulled BECAUSE HE HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH IT? If someone started a viscious internet smear on YOU, bet you wouldn't find it quite so hilarious.
finally came up. lol. Bet their catchin hell.
If you slow the video down you can see a few things.
1) It was made on a Mac.
2) Judging from the music list in itunes, the perp likes Rap, in particular some artist named Big Mike
....magical negro (sometimes called the mystical negro, magic negro, or our Magical African-American Friend) is a stock character who appears in fiction of a variety of media. The word "negro", now considered archaic and offensive, is used intentionally to emphasize the belief that the archetype is a racist throwback, an update of the "Sambo" stereotype. The term was popularized by Spike Lee, who dismissed the archetype of the "super-duper magical negro" in 2001 while discussing films with students at Washington State University and at Yale University.
Now I’m ROTF...Are Chris Burrous, Lisa Gonzales and Jeff James of KOVR Channel 13 Sacramento morons who are threatening racial harmony?....98%yes 2%no.
I guess they weren’t expecting the results they got - not only are the “NO’s” clobbering the “YES’s,” but their comments are all bashing the station for even doing this. They haven’t posted my comment yet but I blasted them for using the YouTube video. And of course, I ended with “phony TANG Memos and now this?” I couldn’t resist.
I can’t get the video or the comments section to open.
I did vote though and the total is 3% yes and 97% no. I voted no.
