Did it say anything in the British Press about Helen Mirren turning down an invitation to have dinner with the Queen at Buckingham Palace. Who does she think she is anyway, Harry Reid, hee hee.

Good evening all.

Thanks for the photos of the White House entertainment from last night. The president looked quite dapper and Laura absolutely stunning. Now, does anyone other than me think Lynn Cheney’s outfit unflattering? Looked like a bridesmaid outfit to me!

On CSPAN last night they showed some of the dinner, etc. The gal (former something or other aide to Laura Bush) said that the entire visit (Virgina, WH, MD, ... everything) is planned and gone over by both countries’ office of protocal. I would imagine everything is planned - down to the type of shovel used.

But - it does make for a funny photo op.

It was all over the British TV today apparently he sat down before the toast was finished leaving her still standing LOL.

The photos I posted though last night of the toast did not seem to indicate she was upset - I think it is just the press trying to make a story out of a nothing.

He has done remarkable well and I know is very glad to be home.

Well - she was sitting when Bush gave his toast. It would seem to me to be more proper that the “toaster” show recieve the attention - and thus be the only one standing?
