I think you are right about the KS trip--I forgot about that. I know that one doesn't ususally see him--but you can always hope! :)
About the flag at the WH...from what I just read, I think it is an urban legend that the flag doesn't fly when he isn't in town.

Thanks for the reply. Too bad she isn’t keen on the hats-she certainly wears them well. She is probably used to the gloves, but I feel sorry for her on that account. I wouldn’t want to wear them!

Who set up those chairs? They look packed in like sardines.

Probably the Royal ensign flies over Buck Palace when the
Queen is in residence so makes sense that there is something similar in the US.

I think that the Union Jack still flies not really up on my flags and I called the royal ensign not standard and now I am now sure whether I have got my terminology right.
I am sure the website I found the other evening on the British Royal family would give this information much better than me.

I’ve been hoping for a long time that Haiti finally succeeds in greatly improving itself as a country.

I thought the same thing! Everyone was crowded together—I’m sure the Queen wasn’t very comfortable. Not very good planning.

We saw Itzhak Perlman and Pinchas Zuckerman perform at the Garden State Arts Center many years ago. What gorgeous music!
