No mine is November 9th by then the cake will be just about right. It was nice but not really mature enough with a rich fruit cake you should really let it mature minimum of 2 months and really the longer the better.

Dad’s 80th May 8th (VE Day). Mine is 9th November and yes I have put a cake away for mine.

She nearly always wears gloves and hats, she actually is not keen on hats but protocol dictates she wears some form of head covering.

She went against protocol on her 50th wedding anniversary for least part of the day she did not wear one, in fact I think from memory she did not wear one full stop. Not sure about gloves but probably if no hat no gloves.
