WASHINGTON, May 8, 2007 Defense Department officials today announced the next 10 Army brigade combat teams to deploy to Iraq to replace units currently operating there.
The announcement affects about 35,000 active-duty troops, who all will deploy between August and the years end to serve as replacement forces for those returning home, Pentagon spokesman Bryan Whitman told reporters. |
So, OIF Five just got their march orders.
OIF III seems long ago, now...
When I served four months in Afghanistan and the Army was there nine to fifteen months...let’s just say I was glad that one group arrived and the other left while I was there! It made it less of an insult to them!
This is truly a new world. Lists like this used to be classified. I wonder what has changed?
Just getting settled in after their move from Ft. Carson.
