In fact, why don't the Republicans just have a presidential debate on radio with talk-show host moderators? Invite Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Laura Ingraham and so on to be the questioners. Why do Republicans always insist on playing by liberal media rules, on their field?

I like that idea. Talk radio would host the debate. They could allow anyone to televise it. Fox News probably would do that. Talk radio could then invite Democrats to a debate.

Sarkosy ran a good campaign and the Pubs could learn from him. Bozell is right also..refuse to debate on the MSM without at least balance in the commentator selection..

"What do you dislike most about America?" One might argue that the ex-Posties were merely forwarding the Voice of the People, but of course they're choosing from a flood of e-mails, and to select something that dopey reeks of bad, and partisan, judgment. Can you imagine the uproar if Fox asked Howard Dean that one in the 2004 cycle?

Dumb question to ask a Democrat. They are all on record with their list of things they hate about their country.

Maybe a more aggressive approach is needed to crack MSM bias. What about using antitrust laws to break up their vertical monopolies that control movies,
TV, and publishing? Make all but one relocate to another part of the country and smash the DC-NY monopoly echo chamber.

Yes, it would be a great moment to have a Republican call out hacks like Matthews on their obvious bias.

And they shouldn’t settle for allegedly neutral debate moderators like Leher for the general election. That man couldn’t construct a question from a conservative perspective if his life depended on it. He of course has no trouble doing so from the left.

The GOP is the Stupid Party that likes to be whipped by liberals. Harder! Its a sort of masochistic pleasure.
