Re your post 19, and especially the last part, you are absolutely right. I too have thought that Bush's experiences with Hispanics governs his inaction on immigration problems. Only when we get someone else (Republican, of course, and not Ms. Rudy) in the White House is there a prayer of changing things for the better.
If the Americans in their abysmal ignorance, elect a typical Democrat, then they will deserve the screwing they will so royally receive. Unfortunately, so will we.

Wonder if they will issue ammo to Guardsmen now... No matter what assignment I always had a full magazine and a few grenades handy. Every "serious soldier" I knew had a similar policy. Better to be tried by twelve...
