"The worst OPSEC violator in the senior staffs is the Pentagon. I get more advance notice from a Pentagon Press Brief of US movements from Kuwait into Iraq than I get from all other sources combined. The Pentagon acts as if it is not at war, and the leaks emanating from Arlington are enormous."

A lot of work was put into the OOBs report and it should get attention. Milblogs recently have been examined for breaking OPSEC while the OOBs show that the Pentigon is the most frequent culprit when it comes to breaking OPSEC. The OOBs reports are not put out to break OPSEC but to show how often OPSEC is broken.

I’ve maintained OPSEC on operations from 35 years ago. Sadly, my funniest war stories will go to my grave with me. :-(

Multinational Division-North: Shoot your Air Force photographers as enemy spies. Their captions include names, platoon level unit IDs and activities, and are released within 24-48 hours of event. Pretty funny.

IMO this is about Intel types trying to absorb PA assets and turn them into propagandists.
Not either one’s role.

No matter what it makes you question just what is going on with some folks at the Pentagon. You shouldn't be able to find data so easy simply using a search engine. One quote from the article tells it all
The Pentagon acts as if it is not at war, and the leaks emanating from Arlington are enormous.
