RALEIGH - Police have now arrested five men and are searching for a sixth in connection with the May 1 shootings at a North Raleigh apartment that killed a 13-year-old girl and wounded her mother. Four of the suspects have been charged with murder, but police are offering little information about who they are, how they knew the victims or their suspected roles in the shooting. Police have also not said what led to the shooting.
"In the interest of the ongoing investigation, we are not in a position to discuss details or motives at this point," Jim Sughrue, a Raleigh police spokesman, said Tuesday.
Police announced Tuesday that three of the men were arrested Thursday near Baltimore, Md., by members of the Baltimore County Police Department and the Raleigh Police Department's Fugitive Task Force.
Francisco Javier Mora Mejia, 27, who has a Knightdale address, and Omar Varona Sandoval, 26, of Raleigh were both charged with murder, police reported. The third man, Manuel Arturo Benavides Arias, 28, of Raleigh was charged with accessory after the fact of murder, police reported.
Also Thursday, Raleigh police apprehended Wilson Batista Roldao, Jr., 28, of Raleigh and charged him with one count of accessory after the fact of murder. Roldao is in the Wake County Jail on $1 million bail, a jail spokesman said Tuesday.
Raleigh police arrested the fifth suspect, Raul Antonio Pichardo, 25, of Brooklyn, N.Y., on Monday night and charged him with murder, court records show.
Police obtained an arrest warrant over the weekend charging Shawn Delmar Taylor, 26, of Augusta, Ga., with murder. Taylor remains at large, police reported.

Sigh.
Could these be the good folks needing jobs:
Francisco Javier Mora Mejia, Omar Varona Sandoval, Manuel Arturo Benavides Arias, Wilson Batista Roldao, Jr., Raul Antonio Pichardo, Shawn Delmar Taylor
Probably. Jorge's guests. That one they're still looking for has probably long been back in Mexico or getting new documents down at the local 7-11.
MS-13 ?
That’s entirely possible. This part of North Carolina seems to be getting a huge influx of Hispanic immigrants in general, both legal and illegal.

from the (Norfolk) Virginian-Pravda...
On Monday, a state trooper stopped a van on Interstate 264 in Virginia Beach for a registration violation and discovered 14 Hispanic men who could not prove they are in the country legally, according to State Police.
They were turned over to ICE, which determined that the men - 12 from Mexico and two from El Salvador - were here illegally. They are being detained pending deportation proceedings.
