I don't know about these men but back then, same as now, a lot of illegals didn't want the amnesty...and didn't care to be American citizens.

Alright, question for you - why did they never accept Reagans amnesty? They were kids at the time. Likely their father didn't trust the amnesty, and didn't want to "be on a list". The oldest, 6 in '84 would have been at most 8 or 9 when the amnesty period ended. The father was probably only about 25 or 26, and had likely been in the country only a couple of years. Living under Marshall Tito wouldn't have inspired great confidence in government and law enforcement types.

Alright, question for you - why did they never accept Reagans amnesty?Might be because you had to live here for 5 years before you could take it? Then again what do I know I was only born in 83, though unlike some I do read my history.
