I find Lileks funnier on air than he is in print—the “child” stuff does nothing for me.

But, his “demotion” to reporter is another affront by the StarTribune, which seems to cater only to the liberal, metrosexual “Minneapolitan.”

I despise the rag and never read it, although we subscribe to it, primarily to line bird cages, do crosswordies, and giggle at the few funny comic strips (Mallard Fillmore, Get Fuzzy, Pooch Cafe, and Pearls before Swine).

However, the idea of a community-based, nonprofit newspaper is interesting, until one considers what the content might be. Look at your neighborhood papers and be afraid, be very afraid.

Happy news, multiculturalism, and where to get stuff for free.

I’m going to stay on the internet, where I learn that taxes are going up, crime’s arising, and Rybak is an idiot.
