These people will do anything to get people to take the flu shots. When such a push is put on about medicine like this it’s scary. My doctor said I should get the shot. I’ve never had a flu shot but everyone I know that has had it, got sick. That tells me that the body is trying to get rid of that stuff. I just told my doctor I’ll take my chances, I don’t want to get sick.

I’d suggest reading up on how immunizations work. In the scientific literature.

A couple of years back during a flu vaccine shortage - my doctor asked if I would consider skipping that year -- he had other patients who needed the shot more. I did. Luckily I didn't get the flu.

You might see this issue differently if you get the flu.

I'm sorry, but that's just not possible. Unless every one of your friends is highly allergic to egg albumin and lied about it to the people giving the shot.

The flu shot doesn't cause the flu. And it doesn't cover every strain, just the predominant ones.

Additionally, it doesn't protect you against stomach "flu," which is a generic term used to describe a whole plethora of non-flu related vomiting symptoms.

Basically, it's a good idea to have the shot every year. You save yourself a week of flat on your back misery in most cases, and you save everyone else that you would have infected as you drudged in to work as a virus incubator and gave it to the whole office.
