“”My experience in law enforcement has shown me that there are solutions to the dangers that our children and families face on a daily basis.”

Yes, there is a solution. ANYONE WHO USES A FIREARM IN THE COMMISSION OF A CRIME GETS 25 YEARS WITHOUT PAROLE. Very simple solution. Remove those who ABUSE the right to keep and bear arms and the problem will be solved. The idiots in government never seem to understand that the problem is NOT the gun, it is the one who wields it in the commission of a crime.

Guess I’ll go over to the gun shop and stock up while mailing Mothers Day cards this afternoon.

Oh, I must add:
Remove the gun crime statistics from the major cities and the US gun crime rate is almost nothing. So it seems it is a problem in the urban centers and not in the general population.

The Brooklyn lawmaker, a 22-year veteran of the New York Police Department

But how many times have I heard freepers say "the police are on our side" when speaking of speaking of the right to keep and bear arms?

From the article: "My proposal would greatly restrict selling ammunition to those who own illegal firearms, and it is my hope that it could save lives," Senator Adams said.

Liberals have got to be some of the stupidest people on earth. This guy thinks that we can be successful at denying criminals ammunition even though we have not been successful at denying them guns.

The average bank robber probably needs less than a half-dozen cartridges in his entire career. Yet this knucklehead has decided that restricting the billions of rounds sold legitimately around the country each year will somehow have a beneficial effect on crime.

Just imagine the scenario. All these potential criminals carrying empty guns and unable to commit crimes.
