Warning: Extremely Vulgar Language. Shock Jocks Opie and Anthony engage in discussion about forced sex with the Secretary of State. A studio guest begins describing the scenario as the hosts laugh and encourage him. Anthony talks about the horror for Rice as the guest is "holding her down" and assaulting her.

1. I hate the word “F bomb”.
2. I don’t see why use of it is considered such an outrageous thing.
3. I couldn’t care less what people say on XM radio.
And not one liberal—including the women—will object.
I expect a Secret Service investigation....
Don’t worry it’s OK, they didn’t say she was a nappy headed hoe.(/sarcasm)
wow, a fake controversy
He also said he “ would F Laura Bush to death.”
I don’t see how the Secret Service can ignore this.
He's a shock jock. He was trying to shock. He was trying to be funny. Other people (witness this thread) say things so much worse than what Imus said. I don't get it.
Although, perhaps I do -- after Imus said what he said, he felt genuinely sorry. He apologized. He tried to make amends. Sharks can smell fear and from that moment of genuine contrition, Imus was a dead man.
Opie and Andy probably don't feel bad at all. So they'll be left alone.
It only involves a Republican so move along. If this was directed at Nanny Pee-Lousy there would be a call for a Congressional investigation.
wheres fat al protesting hmmmm
“wow, a fake controversy”
I guess when we get to the point where it’s no big deal when guys joke on air about raping the Sectratary of State we’ve offically witnessed the death of outrage.
“wheres fat al protesting hmmmm”
don’t hold your breath.
Jesse you out there???
These “men” are sick. Really, really disturbed.
What? You're busy.
Sorry to bother you.
I agree
Larry The Cable Guy was funny on the show today. ooopps, I don't know who these guys are.
They are just playing to their audience....I have only listened to them once...and it was an interview with that carrot top snowboarder guy from the Winter Olympics talking about how the Euro drug testers kept looking at his unit during his urine test...and how they seemed to enjoy watching these guys give samples.
Personally I find those Rush Limbaugh parody songs to be stupid, and ill-thought out. I turn off the show whenever they play them. They breed ignorance.
“They are just playing to their audience”
Boy what a great demographic to go after, those who think rape is funny! I bet they nailed it!
This is my first experience of these two.
So....people actually listen to this for, like, entertainment?
And these two, I presume, are making big bucks doing this?
Amazing.
But, you know, the wild-eyed, drooling, mouth-breathers among us have to have something to listen to.
Same guys that got banned for holding a contest which included a stunt of having sex in the St. Patrick’s Cathedral and other public places in NYC. Sponsored by Sam Adams and also the president of Sam Adams, Jim Cook was in the studio. I won’t drink that beer to this day.
Au contraire, Paul Shanklin's parodies are hilarious and timely. My perennial favorites are "In a Yugo" (the deadly consequences of being environmentally whacked, inertially inferior and makeing bad life decisions) and "Werewolves in Congress" (classic Clinton scare tactics ala Warren Zevon; Clinton is such an excitable boy). I've not yet heard "Obama the Magic Negro", but if its classic Shanklin, it must be a hoot.
My mother was humorless. She was extremely neurotic, medicated and a yellow dog Democrat. What's your excuse?
“But make no mistake, there is an all-out war on talk radio going on, and bodies are already being spread on the battlefield.”
If it is an all-out war - count me on the side of decency and common sense. I’m a proud conservative and sick of all the garbage and trash on tv & radio.
These two most likely rape each others cornhole.
*************
No, it's that I think they are disturbed, as is anyone that thinks that rape is funny, or that talking about raping a woman such as Rice is acceptable.
I’m with you. The notion that “We must defend Opie and Anthony because if we don’t, Rush Limbaugh will be taken off the air” is just fatuous.
“These two most likely rape each others cornhole.”
only if it gets ratings.
“Im with you. The notion that We must defend Opie and Anthony because if we dont, Rush Limbaugh will be taken off the air is just fatuous.”
Yup. It sets up an interesting debate between cultrual conservatives who would like to see this vile of the airwaves versus free speech advocates which includes many conservatives.
I’ve heard them on XM. They’re assholes and they’re not funny besides being deranged.
File this under “why I don’t subscribe to XM”. Or TV, for that matter. The only reason they’re on the air is because there is a certain segment of our society that chooses to wallow in filth.
Amazing, isn’t it? People are so much wanting to show they are for “freedom of speech”, that they forget they have the right to call for people’s heads who’s speech is unacceptable.
And it is unacceptable to joke about raping a woman. There is no civilized way to appropriately joke about holding down a woman and forcibly having sex with her. There is no reason for ANY advertiser in a civilized society to not be punished for paying for such “entertainment”, or any employer for not firing people who condone and laugh at the idea of a woman being raped.
If the government tried to shut it down, I’d fight them tooth and nail. But we better stand up for what is right, government freedom doesn’t work in an uncivilized society.
“Ive heard them on XM. Theyre assholes and theyre not funny besides being deranged.”
The best explanation I’ve heard yet.
What pains me is to hear Hannity, Rush, et al defend “free speech”. At some point, someone has to draw the line, like with that bigotted old fool, Imus.
:) me either
: )
I’ve heard Lucky on a local talk show (he’s a well-known neighborhood activist here), but didn’t know he had a book out. I’ll have to pick up a copy.
just to let you nazies know sean hannity has been on opie and anthony plenty. and has been a caller. they had a crude talking bum on there that is on a paid for service , don’t buy it and you won’t here it .
“just to let you nazies know...”
Why would I consider buying filth like this?!? If you wan’t to lower your IQ go ahead. I just hope they get yanked off the air...again.
Sieg Heil!
A few years ago there was a case in Germany where a cannibal killed and ate a man on video. His excuse was that the “meal” was a willing participant. I’m not sure if he added, “if you Nazis don’t like it, don’t watch.”
Some things are so repugnate, that if a society tolerates them, it ceases to qualify as civilized. This stunt comes awfully close, on many levels, to something that should not be tolerated. If believing that makes me a Nazi, so be it.
killing someone is a crime, speech is not (yet).
I can’t believe I had to type that.

Spell-check is our friend.
I knew that was coming.:)
More like filler when Rush is too lazy to come up with something...
Put on the mp3 and lose your audience...
Well, I hope they didn’t call Rice a “Nappy-headed ho” because then they might actually get into trouble.
you know, these dudes pander to a certain group of idiots that are so socially stunted that they could condone the rape of conservative women.
Put on the mp3 and lose your audience...
Filler? Hardly. Granted Rush doesn't have as much material to work with as during the Clinton years (especially when J. Elders was entertaining from her post as Surgeon General). But now that the Dems are back in charge of the Congress, there's hardly a dearth of material.
“you know, these dudes pander to a certain group of idiots that are so socially stunted that they could condone the rape of conservative women.”
That’s why my wife carries (and so should every woman).
Can’t we just ban radio (satellite or otherwise)? Even music contains bad words/thoughts/imagery. Also, we should do away with television (too many things on there I don’t like). And the print media? Too liberal. Who needs it?
Oh, also the Internet. Some websites are naaaaasty. I wouldn’t want my kids going to them.
Maybe we could keep some books - the good ones anyway.
