The West Virginia Trial Lawyers Association has a new name.
On May 4, the group announced it has changed its name to the West Virginia Association for Justice. Last year, the organization's national group -- the Association of Trial Lawyers of America -- changed its name to the American Association for Justice.

Yeah, I spent a number of years as an insurance defense counsel and it always bugged me that they appropriated the moniker, “trial lawyers”, as though there weren’t at least two attorneys trying every case -plaintiff and defense. Sorry, calling what many of them do “justice” gives the word a bad name.
The title you created “A trial lawyer by any other name would smell...” was not the published title.

Trial lawyers and justice - what a strange juxaposition.
Trial lawyers do nothing to further the cause of right versus wrong - they only define what is legal and illegal.
Even the meanings of those words are subject to reinterpretation.
These people are scum.
