And people thought there was “no connection” between Iran and North Korea (two of the three members of the “Axis of Evil”).

Iran needs nukes, North Korea needs petroleum. For them, it is a win-win. For the rest of us, not so much.

I assume that Bush started making nice with North Korea recently so he’d only have to concentrate on one of these countries at a time while he put the other on the back burner.

Seems like a mistake to me. Making nice only encourages that kind of people.

"He referred to the common stance of the two countries towards the US policy and said independent nations are the winners because the era of colonialism has ended."

Except for the islamofacist colonists who are setting up shop in Europe and the United States.

Unfortunately, our blind leaders don't understand them as colonists, they continue to believe that these Trojan Horses are simply "peaceful" immigrants. But they are neither peaceful nor immigrants, they are barbarian colonists looking to eventually convert or kill the 'infidels' of the world. Does it make sense to fight these people oversees but allow them into our country by the tens of thousands every year? Will President Bush guarantee us that the 25,000 Iraqis he just let into the U.S. on "refugee" status, and the ten thousand Saudis he just allowed in with "student" visas aren't terrorists or terrorist sympathizers? Will he guarantee us that each one of these cult members has been scrutinized and found safe? The more muslims in America the more the FBI is overtaxed trying to keep tabs on them, and the closer we come to self-extinction.
