Savage says he took off yesterday due to self-reflection in that he had hope Bush and the Repubs being in charge would help right all the wrongs done by the previous Clinton administration but now feels he has been suckered by this new type of Republicanism or as we all sickly know it now as 'compassionate conservatism.

Savage says Bush is the most inept CIC in the history of the Republic and needs to step down after appointing Gen Petraeus whose idea of a surge is more troops doing more of the same'winning the Islamic hearts away from Islam but instead are not only losing the heart of the Iraqi's due to continuous slaughter going on over there but also losing the hearts and support of the American people for this 'type of war'.

I listen to him a few nights a week. What do you say when wiener talks about how the war in iraq is lost? I like the guy. But give him a nice day on his boat in SF, a few cocktails, and his dog and who knows what his perspective will be next week.

His criticism of Rush is pathetic.
