One of the funny things is how atheists think they are on some kind of cutting edge in reason.

God specifically addressed atheists in scripture 3,000 years ago i.e. they were fools.

Francis Bacon, who is generally considered the father of science, specifically addressed atheists 500 year ago i.e. they were fools.

Which god are you talking about? If antiquity implies veracity, then I'm trying to understand whether you're talking about Ra, Anubis, Horus, Neith, Isis, etc., or someone predating them.

Typical of the religious faithful. When you can’t convince us through reason to take up your religon, you insult us and dismiss us as fools.

I could say that people who belive in a man in the sky for whom there is no direct evidence are fools, but I have more respect than that for the beliefs of my friends and family. And I do respect their beliefs, which I believe are a source of comfort and solace for them, but I just can’t make myself believe.
