A thousand people turned out Saturday at the Presbyterian Church of the Master in Mission Viejo to join in sympathy with Chris and Lori Coble and celebrate the lives of the three siblings whose lives were cut short in a horrific crash May 4 on the San Diego (I-5) freeway.

After the graveside memorial hundreds attended a reception at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Las Flores. Some didn't know the Coble family at all.
Hollie Libby, 21, a Lance Corporal in the U.S. Marine Corps based at Camp Pendleton came in full-dress uniform.
"I read about their tragedy and I wanted to pay my respects," said the former Anaheim resident. "I have a 2-year-old. I wanted to honor the family by being here and being a Marine."
Coble neighbor Hoke Rose, 42, couldn't wipe an image from his mind.
"My office overlooks the street, when Chris came home in his PT Cruiser, the children would just swarm the car," he said. "They were this cavalcade of pent-up energy. 'Daddy's home, Daddy's home!' I watched that dozens of times. The vision of that is devastating, how do you replace that day after day?"
