BAGHDAD An Al Qaeda front group that claims it has captured American soldiers warned the United States on Monday to stop searching for them and suggested it attacked the U.S. convoy as revenge for the rape and murder of a local teenager last year.
The U.S. military also said for the first time it believes the three missing soldiers were abducted by Al Qaeda-linked militants after an attack that included three roadside bombs.
"What you are doing in searching for your soldiers will lead to nothing but exhaustion and headaches. Your soldiers are in our hands. If you want their safety, do not look for them," the Islamic State of Iraq said on a militant Web site.
"You should remember what you have done to our sister Abeer in the same area," the statement said, referring to five American soldiers who were charged in the rape and killing of 14-year-old Abeer Qassim al-Janabi and the killings of her parents and her younger sister last year.

Since when do we take orders from terrorists?
Our guy’s must be getting close.
Why don’t they have electronic tracking devices on these soldiers?

A poor excuse is better than none.
Prayers for our troops — may those abducted be returned safely and may those on this mission be safe as well. Courage to them all too.
The US Pentagon has no imagination that is why.
The searcher must be getting close. Otherwise, why the panic and demands? Keep up the good work guys!
searcher=search
...In other news three leading Democratic leaders took advantage of the opportunity and surrendered.
I was quietly wondering about that ... I’m a bit wishy washy on making them required in military situations and then when something like THIS happens, I wish they had them implanted.
I am fearful for these brave ones.
Praying for them.
Probably because our troops would be sitting ducks if the terrorists learn how to track them.
I’m very worried about them.
I know what they did to the other soldiers they kidnapped ... horrendous .... keep praying too!
Praying this is so and they are unharmed.
I've thought the same thing. Imbed them in their skin so that the enemy can't find them. Aren't we supposed to be doing all we can for the troops? Also, to me, it makes no sense that troops are put in harms way and with our hi-tech ability to communicate that a situation like this happened.
Oh, the same excuse for Menchaca and Tucker?
Get out the B2s.
How long before our enemies would be able to track them, using the same technology?

I was just reminded that our Speaker of the House and Senate Majority leader have told the people of America that there is no Al Qaeda in Iraq so... who are these people?
Besides your excellent point, abducters might be tempted to start hacking off parts or perform a little "exploratory" surgery with a rusty knife to find the tracking devices.
I know what they did to the other soldiers they kidnapped ... horrendous .... keep praying too!

Perhaps by the Grace of God we will see a miracle.
“I was just reminded that our Speaker of the House and Senate Majority leader have told the people of America that there is no Al Qaeda in Iraq so... who are these people?”
LOL!
Terrorism doesn’t exist either ... all just figments of my overactive imagination. I’ve real sure the wonderful Speaker of the House would know all about this ... LOL!
I find it unconscionable that in the 21st Century, a stolen SUV can be located faster than our missing soldiers. If technology can be used to later locate missing puppies, why not our troops?
