The others are basically liberals running for office in liberal states, like Chafee, etc.

Dont conservative debate one another? Jake, if I may be so bold. I would look at the discourse on FR as more of a discussion, rather than a debate.
There is no way to widen the tent to allow more ideas, liberal ideas are not new, they are old. We are the counter to those ideas.
We can discuss the reasons that we will not embrace or vote for Rudy. What we cannot do, is abandon conservative principle for mere promises that one day what we espouse will be revisited by any party.
We know those issues will not be revisited, and to vote for Rudy is the death of conservative movement.

I respect all that. But who are you "committed to promoting conservatism and conservative candidates." to - if everyone is already "conservative"? See what I mean? Why do you need a "Rudy Truth File" is everyone already knows Rudy is liberal. I remain confused at the logic. I guess you've completely missed how Free Republic is used to coordinate activism outside the site itself. How we get info to the media. How the site is often use as show prep by major radio talk show hosts. How its threads seem to pop up really high in Google searches and the like. Researching and compiling the truth about Giuliani's liberal past is vere useful and will serve multipile purposes as the campaign season progresses.

You’re good.
I bow in respect and take my leave to set up for tonight’s episode of ‘24’.
It’s been my pleasure indylindy - you represent the best of FR - in my opinion.
I thank you.
To: Spiff
OK - see - you’re teaching me something.
I appreciate that - and you are correct - I did not know all that.
Thanks - that’s what I call feedback.

Here's the question for candidates who "hate abortion", or who, like Mayor Giuliani, think it's "immoral".
Why?
Why do they hate it? Why do they think it's immoral?
And, if they can give a coherent answer to those questions, they why don't they think it should be illegal?

I’ll be watching it too. Will Jack survive or will Ricky Shroeder prevail? He’s done a pretty good job, that’s my opinion, though!

I have a bet that Jack’s sister in law is evil somehow.
Too good looking.
She’s trouble.
To: Jake The Goose
Aw come on Jake, you know she excites you!
Just teasing. I bet she packs a Beretta!

Good lord - you’re smart - and have a lock down memory to boot.
I best pay attention to my details with you madam.
Yeh - I dig her.
That’s in part why she has to be evil.
D’oh - I’m having fun now.
To: George W. Bush
To: Jake The Goose
Well save it for the show. The season is almost over. You will need a lock down memory to dream about her!
LOL!

The Viking Kitty is that picture of a cat with the Brunhilde-style Viking horned hat, looking angry.
People would post pictures of the Viking Kitty when they would detect a flaming lib or retread here trying to cause trouble along with summoning the mod.
When the mod banned them, then they'd post the Zot pictures, usually with lightning bolts.
The Viking Kitty/Zot thing doesn't happen lately. It's kind of funny but you have to wonder why anyone would join FR, given the risk that someone would accuse them and get them banned. Mostly, people here just say "Welcome" to newbies and let the mods worry about infiltrators. Of course, if you catch a newly registered liberal troll, you should flag the moderators. But holding a massive celebration might be less than stylish. I think we should try to err on the side of hospitality myself but never hesitate when we see real flamebaiters here.
A certain group of posters, most of which are now at the pro-Rudy site, were sometimes called Viking Kitties. Among other names. They seemed to stalk new members around the forum like it was a sport. I think that's counterproductive for the forum. Strangely enough, now that they're gone, we don't seem to have a big infiltrator problem so I guess the mods handle their job pretty well without the help of the Viking Kitties.

Lookit, JTG----you're not gettng it for one specific reason:
you can't engage issues by operating in a total vacuum. CASE IN POINT Conservatives are very well-informed, and we are great collectors of information that we find on the net, and in the print and broadcast media.
We come to FR to share with other conservatives what's going on out there.........
AND.......we do this by putting up threads and posts that extrapolate what WE think about all of this.
FR allows us to "respond" to what we've read and seen----and it lets other conservatives have a chance to share their thoughts.
This is the information age----and FR is at the top of the info game.
Giuliani's spins and bobs and weaves are obviously in the news----ergo, that's where the info trail takes us.

I think he hates it because...it's not adoption?
He gets a funny look on his face whenever abortion is mentioned. I assume that's the "I know I'm going to hell but I want to be president first" facial expression.
I hope Laura Ingraham gets a chance at him again. She really exposed his true abortion position. It was after that interview that he finally had to come out as a true unrepentant pro-abortion candidate.

Why talk about Rudy if everyone is in agreement to be against him? Because there is gross ignorance among the generic Republican and conservative about Ghouliani's record. Many here have already been educated and joined the fight to stop this liberal from destroying the Republican party and conservative movement.

I didn’t suggest it. I was responding to another post.

No problem. I apologize for being snippy. I can only plead the “not enough coffee” defence.

Thank you :)
Actually, Zen is quite easy:
“Master, how did the enlightened feel at that moment of enlightenment?”
“Students, they felt like burglars sneaking into an empty house.”
