Well, unlike Gen Petraius, hopefully this guy has some combat experience.

General Petraeus commanded the 101st Airborne Division in Iraq, and oversaw the occupation of the Mosul and Nineveh provinces. Or do you mean aside from that?

The Democrats had their Jimmy Carter. Today, the Republicans have their Jimmy Carter Bush. No difference in their unAmerican and mind-boggling stupidity. If he can’t handle The Office of the Presidency, step down and make room for someone who can.

Oh, I forget, in Bush’s words, the Constitution is just “a goddamned piece of paper.”

(For the record, I am a conservative and not a Republican.)

“We’re gonna need a czar to oversee all the czars.”

Of course we will. The drug czar should continue to operate independently because that office has been the most successful though.

Is he going to oversee Fallon at Centcom? I thought Fallon was in charge of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.

You forgot the sarcasm tag ... some on this board may actually believe that.

IN time of conflict, why not simply change the Sec Def to Sec War?

When the Department of War was abolished in 1947, we were out of the war business. We still are.

“We’re gonna need a czar to oversee all the czars.”

With the coconut head presidents we are getting, it may not be a bad idea. We now need a czar to oversee the presidency. I haven’t come up with a job title yet. Any suggestions?

I can think of some hysterical titles in Panamanian Spanish, but they would lose something in translation.

It’s hard to argue with the irrational.

I got nothing. I really don’t understand the purpose or the reason of this new government job. I can say officially today that I don’t understand what the President is doing any longer.

I know. I nominate Paris Hilton as “Presidential Czar to the President of the United States of America.”

Jan 20, 2009 can not come soon enough for me no matter who the successor is. This has got to be the most idiotic idea ever to come from this White House and having witnessed the nuttiness coming from GWB that is saying quite a bit.

Forget Paris. Her chihuahua should be nominated.

This means that Bush has abdicated his position as Commander in Chief (as Michael Savage says). He’s obviously not in control anymore and hasn’t a clue as to what he’s doing or how to win the war. All he’s interested in is his pet project of Mexico - amnesty for illegals, allowing Mexican trucks into this country, etc.

Oh my gosh!!! Where is my brain? You are correct!!!

The chihuahua would be perfect!!!

The chihuahua would symbolize the affection Bush has for Mexican illegals.

The chihuahua is it!!!

Thank you.

General Patraeus has a huge military experience and it is really a huge lie to say otherwise. Of course an internet general like yourself will not know better.

I ask this question out of ignorance:

Does Paris Hilton’s chihuahua’s new position have to be approved by Congress?

Some people on this forum were making fun of President Bush weeks ago that he cannot find a War Czar General. I am glad that they are wrong again and as usual.
