Exclusive: The confrontation over Cuba continues. Michael Moore has challenged Fred Thompson to a health care debate. At issue -- Moore's trip to Cuba and Thompson's criticism of that trip. Moore noted Thompson's evident favor for Cuban cigars as a possible violation of the trade embargo.

Fred Thompson On Falwell

Every major GOP candidate (and non-candidate) has now weighed in on Falwell. Fred Thompson’s office issued this statement minutes ago: “America has lost a man of great faith, and a leader dedicated to defending the rights of all Americans to express their faith in the public square. Jeri and I wish to extend out deepest condolences to the Falwell family, and we will keep them in our prayers.”
And addressing the “crossover” issue:
“That video is amazing. One of the reasons that I wish Thompson suited my politics better, so I could vote for him (if only he could have Jerry Orbach as VP!).”

Speaking of that- I remember Leon Panetta (sp) when the FRED talk first started...sometime in late Feb early March...was asked about him. He tried really hard- but simply could NOT say one negative word about Fred. He even chuckled about it...admitted what a good guy he is and some more complimentary words..
The drama, the effect, the pauses.. lol , only a professional actor could deliver the way he did. BTW Moore has a lame rebuttal up on his site.
