Apparently there are many Americans who like Ron Paul and his opinions. He is the only Constitutionalist on the panel. There's nothing "bizarre" about him. Maybe you don't recognize an American patriot when you see one.
This is from "Instapundit", a basically libertarian blog, concerning Ron Paul tonight:
"No offense, but the libertarian movement is going nowhere with Ron Paul as the face. His comments about 9/11 are comparable to Rosie O'Donnell"
This from a fellow libertarian.
Ouch.
sorry about the double posts, my computer freezes up...
I’d say “bizarre” is a fairly apt description of him from tonight’s debate. He’s done.

Then there are conservatives who would have voted for Paul but don't because they don't have phone text messaging, like me.
Maybe you don’t reognize an anti-war kook when you see one.
FYI. Go to #6 for Ron Paul’s comments. He gives a good history of the Republican party stance regarding the Korean War and Vietnam War. He even gives the platform that G. Bush ran on in 2000 regarding the U.S. being the world’s police and nation building. It is worth listening to a second time.
