>>”They’re trying to create at least the appearance of a groundswell of support to induce him to get into the race,” said Atlanta political consultant David Johnson.

Hey David. It’s real.

Fred is the only guy out there, that gets conservatives motivated.

While we wait for Fred Thompson to announce a decision, don’t forget there is a strong conservative already running, Duncan Hunter.

If Fred Does jump in any time soon, maybe we can see them together on the ticket.

In all reality, with respect, I still consider him a non-player until he announces.

That being said, ready to donate when he does. I still have much research to do on him, but I'll wait for the announcement. From what I have seen, he's very favorable over Guiliani, Romney and well, let's just forget about McCain and never mention him again...

IMHO, it’s not enough to elect Thompson. What’s needed is something on the order of another ‘Contract With America’. A public laundry list of commitments on key platform issues that conservative candidates in the House and Senate can get elected on and hopefully implement. I can remember feeling disappointed when the ‘94 Congress seemingly reneged on their commitment of support for term limits.

It’s got to be an easily recognizable campaign, with all candidates uttering the same slogan. Something like: “Hi, I’m Joe Schlabotnick, candidate for Congress, and I want to get ahead with Fred!” Same music, like the little notes you hear in ads for Pentium computer chips. Same little logo in the corner of the screen. Something that’s instantly recognizable no matter what candidate is running. It’d be like taking the McDonald’s approach to coordinated campaign ads.

Also, is it just me, or have there been practically no new endorsements of Rudy over the last couple of months, ever since he started sticking his foot in his mouth over abortion?
