ATLANTA (AP) -- Yolanda Denise King, daughter of civil rights leader Martin Luther King Junior, has died. That word from a spokesman for the King Center in Atlanta.
My condolences to the family. Any word on the cause? 52 is awfully young (I’m 52).
First Jerry Falwell now Yolanda King.
RIP , wow!
Prayers to the family. First their mother and now their sister. A sad time for them for sure.
I just think of this as going home and some of us will go home sooner than others..May she rest in peace...her time here is over and now she is going to be with the Lord...
RIP!!!
As far as my searches take me, it appears she is survived by at least 2 brothers and one sister.
“52 is awfully young (Im 52).”
Yes very young, that was my first thought as well. Perhaps it was a heart condition.
Could be but I think there were five kids all together. I am not sure how many are still surviving. I don’t think any of them married or have children so I guess everything will go to the nieces and nephew of Dr. King one day.
King died late Tuesday in Santa Monica, California, at age 51.
Klein said the family did not know the cause of death but think it might have been a heart problem.
Born on Nov. 17, 1955, in Montgomery, Alabama, King was just an infant when her home was bombed during the turbulent civil rights era.
As an actress, she appeared in numerous films and even played civil rights heroine Rosa Parks in the 1978 miniseries "King." She founded a production company called Higher Ground Productions.
King was also an author and advocate for peace and nonviolence. Her mother, Coretta Scott King, died last year.
Yolanda King is survived by her sister, the Rev. Bernice A. King; two brothers, Martin Luther King III and Dexter Scott King; and an extended family.
Prayers for her family.

Well, if Wikipedia is to be trusted, it says she died of an apparent heart attack.

Anybody care to wager who’s going to get more coverage- King or Falwell?
Rest in peace.
that’s a ridiculous statement - is this some kind of competition?
There is supposed to be 3 in a row... who do you think is next?
Keep an eye out for the third. It won’t be Flynt, but he had kind words for Jerry.
Just a warning - don’t stand between Je$$e and any television cameras today.
May God comfort her family.
She was the pro-lifer right?
