How anyone here could be rooting for that lisping leftist thug from NYC is the real mystery.

Some of us have seen firsthand what the "lisping leftist thug" did to clean up an unmanageable cesspool in New York City and know that if there are some serious tasks that need to be accomplished (like the WoT, Social Security reform, or reducing bloated government bureaucracies and spending) and know that a President Guiliani wouldn't stand behind politics and would actually get the job done.

He's a strong leader who did a tremendous job exercising the RAT demons, downsizing the size of city governement and consolidating governmental units (NYPD reform comes to mind). He made people on welfare work. He improved the quality of life in NYC 100-fold in his terms as mayor and will do the same for America.

Honestly, he's not politically correct, which to me in this day and age is wonderful. He's not afraid to speak his mind and say exactly what he means. He's basically not your typical politician that sticks to the DNC and RNC talking points of the day.

Whether he deserves the nod in a good Republican field is something open for debate and something even I am not settled on. But he's not as far left as some FReepers claim he is.

He's socially moderate and fiscially conservative, which mirrors most of America and is the type of candidate (along with Thompson and a handful of others) that can run from the right-center to win the general election. Better a right-center candidate than an avowed socialist like Hitlery or Obama or Beck Girl. I think we'd all agree upon that.

So Il Duce made the trains run on time.

I still don’t want that leftist running the nation and picking judges.

He’d be more dangerous than Hillary.

Pandering to NYC leftists IS “political correctness.”

What you mean is that he is by no stretch of the imagine a “conservative.”

Rudy's socially far left wing, farther left than a large portion of Democrats. Fiscally he's only just liberal.

What he's said and what he's done prove it.

He's socially moderate and fiscially conservativeTaxpayer-funded abortion is "conservative? And "moderate" is just another word for "liberal."

If he’s “socially moderate” name five Republicans that are farther to the left than he is. He is socially an extreme LIBERAL.
