New details have emerged in the spy scandal involving a female Swedish lieutenant commander and her Serbian lover. Having come into possession of the relevant military intelligence report, newspaper Expressen has published excerpts surrounding the activities of the 35-year-old Swede.
On March 12th last year, Sweden's Military Intelligence and Security Service (Militära underrättelse- och säkerhetstjänsten - MUST) was contacted by NATO, which said it had reason to suspect the Kosovo-based lieutenant commander of involvement in espionage.
The lieutenant commander serving with the Swedish Kosovo Force (KFOR) first came into contact with Z - as he is known to MUST - in October 2005.
Soon she began meeting the UN interpreter on a regular basis and within a month he began pressing her for information.
In an early e-mail to Z, she wrote: "I too enjoy our little meetings and not just for the cappuccinos... I will look in our archives tomorrow and get back to you as soon as possible."
A few days after Christmas 2005, the lieutenant commander wrote: "The info at lunch today. I shouldn't have said it and I could be in deep shit if it gets out."
Early in the new year, she began to express her strong feelings for Z.
"Thank you for yesterday. What you said was right, I just didn't want it to end. Maybe you understood that at the car park by the gate. I just didn't want to let you go.

When the order was given for American military personnel to attack Yugoslavia, it was not issued following a declaration of war from Congress. Nor was the order given by the President as a means of repelling a sudden attack on America by a foreign aggressor, or as a measure intended to rescue Americans abroad from unexpected peril. In fact, the order to attack Yugoslavia didnt even follow the pattern set in Korea and Vietnam, in which our nation was committed to protracted foreign wars through unilateral presidential action. On March 23rd, the order to commence hostilities was given to an American general by a Spanish Marxist NATO Secretary-General Javier Solana.
I have just directed the Supreme Allied Commander of Europe, General [Wesley] Clark, to initiate air operations in the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, announced Solana, who insisted that the attack is intended to support the political aims of the international community.
Congress played no role in defining those political aims, which means that the American people =97 in whose name Congress is empowered to act were not permitted to play any role in the decision to commit our nation to war.
“Once the illegal intelligence gathering operation was uncovered, Z was held for questioning. He then disappeared and has not been seen since.”
I think they missed an event in that timeline:
1)illegal intelligence gathering operation was uncovered
2)Z was held for questioning
3)HE WAS RELEASED
4)He then disappeared and has not been seen since
Serbian “Vecernje novosti” daily just stated.
“He was living in USA and he made me believe that he is working for CIA against Serbia”- Swede lieutenant said.

No, you are doing selective reading.
Maybe his release makes more sense if he really is CIA but the rest of it doesn’t. Why would CIA dig around for info on “NATO’s peacekeeping operations in Kosovo”? A plumber looking for leaks.

A Swedish military officer is suspected of leaking classified information about NATO’s peacekeeping operations in Kosovo to an alleged Serbian spy she was dating, Sweden’s armed forces said Monday.
The woman, who was not identified, allegedly sent e-mails with details about the NATO force to the Serbian man, who worked as an interpreter for the United Nations in Kosovo, the military said in a statement.
I know who the spy was!
It was our own international man of mystery....
