Bush said this plan solves the problem without animosity and without amnesty.
The fact is, he brewed up both amnesty and animosity.
To bad Bush and the other "elite leaders" are too insulated to feel the animosity, bordering on hatred, for them because of their traitorous actions.
I have supported the president despite my disagreement with him on this issue and on spending. However this immigration thing is emblematic of the flaws in his leadership style. A president needs to be steadfast in his approach to principles. President Bush however, is intransigent. He should have simply reevaluated his position on this and changed course. His views on immigration were formed when he was Governor of Texas, in a pre 9/11 world. They were probably not the best policies even in that context.
PS. The Texas border counties voted solid Dem while Bush ran as Gov and then President. And Bush screws his conservative base.... barf....
Translation: It IS amnesty but actual Americans are supposed to just shut up and take it.
Like this too... http://www.spp.gov (superhighway-borderless). A treaty was made without our consent.
